Sunday drives

I love going for Sunday drives. Jay and I looked up at the mountains turning red, yellow, and orange; and decided we needed to go take a look. We drove up AF canyon and it was beautiful. Fall is definately one of my favorite times of year. I just wish it would last a little longer. Jay loves fall too, and decided he needed to climb down the side of the mountain to get some specific red leaf! He scared me to death and slipped in the process. But, we did get the red leaves. Here are a few pics of the beautiful trees.

The red tree we got leaves from. It is pretty!

Lost tooth

Jaylee has officially lost her 2nd tooth. It took the tooth fairy 2 days to come. :( So she brought Jaylee 2 dollars!

Super Saturday!!

Today was Super Saturday in my ward. I am the Enrichment Counselor so was in charge of the activity. This activity has consumed my life for the past 2 months. All in all I have to say it went pretty well. We had around 50 sisters come for either projects, classes or lunch. Everything seemed to go pretty smoothly, with no major hiccups. A big sigh of releif! I was so excited to have all of our hard work pay off. Thank you to my assistants,(Kim & Heather) and committee members for all your help. This would not have been successful without you! Love you guys!

Throwdown!

Because of some business relationships, Jay and I ended up at the Throwdown MMA fights Friday night. Although it is not my favorite thing we had a lot of fun. I know Jay loved it. Not the most romantic date, but a lot of fun none the less. We had VIP floor seats, and had dinner, and everything. A good evening!

Happy Birthday Kynslee!

Today is my sweet niece Kynslee's birthday. I am so heartbroken that she was not here to celebrate with us today. Kynslee passed away April 15 due to heart defects she had at birth. Teea and I had the same due date, and went through our pregnancies together. I can still remember the day we both had our ultrasounds, and Ben & Teea found out about Kynslee's heart problem. It was such a devastating day in so many ways. I was so sad for Ben, Teea and Kynslee, and almost guilty for me to be having my 3rd healthy baby.
Jett and Kynslee were born 4 days apart. I truly beleive they have a special connection, coming to us so close together. I know that this is probably a very hard thing for Ben and Teea, to have another baby born so close to Kyns. He is a consistent reminder to them of what she would be doing. I watch them when we are together and I can see the pain in their faces when they look at him and it breaks my heart. Other times I can see he makes them happy, so I hope he can become a happy reminder for them.
Kynslee is a sweet baby with more strength than many adults with what she had to endure while on this earth. I feel very blessed to be counted as her family, and I can't wait for our reunion. I know she is in heaven with my brother EJ, and this helps me stay focused on what truly is important here.
Happy Birthday Kynslee! Thank you for blessing our lives. thank you Ben and Teea for being the amazing people you are. I look up to you and admire you so much. Thank you for that sweet baby girl love you Kynslee!
I treasure this picture that Tiffany took of Kynslee with my kids.

Happy Birthday Jett!

Yesterday Jett turned 1! I Can't beleive my baby is 1. It doesn't seem possible. Well, to celebrate of course we had to have the traditional 1st birthday party. Pizza, cake, ice cream, and presents. Jaylee decided that since his name is Jett he needed a Jet plane party, so that is what we did. I actually found Jet plane cups, plates, napkins, hats, party blowers, etc. at the party store. I also attempted to make a jet plane cake. Everything turned out pretty well. Jett was so cute and excited. He had literally been squealing all day. It was as if he new everything was for him, and he loved being the center of attention. Here are a few pics of the birthday bash!

Jett in his birthday shirt. It says: I'm kind of a big deal! He sure is.

Jett checking out his presents!

Smiling in his party hat.

The Jet plane cake that took me 3 1/2 hours to make. just humor me and tell me how much it looks like a plane!

Jett enjoying his cake! yum yum!

All in all we had a great day. I think Jay, Jaylee, EJ, and I maybe had more fun than Jett. lol. There is nothing like watching a little ones expression as they discover and try new things. Too much fun. Thanks to all the fam who came over to celebrate my little guy's birthday. We love you.

kid fun

Well things have stayed busy around here, which has left me very little time to blog. :( The latest around the Hoover home is that we signed EJ up for Itty bitty football. It does not start until October but he has been so excited he has worn his football costume from last Halloween Every Day! (If you have seen us lately you have probably seen him in it)

He thinks he looks pretty cool and I do have to agree. He was wearing it at the studio the other day, He said to me Mom, why is everyone saying I am cute, don't they know I am tough and cool! I hope this little guy stays as fun as he is now. He keeps the sunshine in our home.
Jaylee has been loving first grade. I was able to help chaperone her field trip this week, which was fun. We had to take six 1st graders on a nature walk for a hour and a half. eek. A long time. They also got to meet Smokey the Bear and play games up in AF canyon. I was glad to go, I am still the paranoid mom who wants to protect my baby.

Jaylee has had some cute moments lately in Ballet the other day her teacher asked her wear she got the power to do her battenments (kicks). Her answer was from Jesus!
She couldn't deny her, so she asked her wear Jesus put the power for her battenments. lol too cute!
Jett turns 1 on Saturday I can't beleive it! after Saturday we will update all the fun from his birthday bash!

1st Day of Preschool!!

Elijah striking his back to school pose!

He needs big muscles to carry his huge bag!

Today EJ Finally had his first day of school. He has been patiently waiting to start after watching Jaylee go the past few weeks. He was so excited, picked out his own outfit, and was ready faster than I have ever seen him move. He is way to independent. We pulled up to his school he looks at me and says, "It's OK mom you don't need to walk me in I am fine!" I told him I needed to, and he said "really mom I am fine!" I looked at my 4 year old, and was thinking your my baby you need mommy to walk you. (tear)
He came home so excited and had a great day. He told me about all the "cool" things at his school. Slow down EJ, slow down. He is growing up to fast!
