Worse Date Ever Tag

Ooh hard to pick just one. (All names have been changed,he he)
There was the guy who took me to an awful movie stunk like b.o., had bad breath and tried to hold my hand constantly.
Or the guy who took me to my first dance (those are the most awkward) I ran into a net and wound up unconsious. He tried to console me way to much!
Or the guy from the singles ward who on our 1st and only date gave me his future wife interview. what the heck?
The one that take the cake was my Jr Prom. I had broke my Jaw, had to have a shake for dinner. Went with na guy who new we were "just friends" or so I thought. Tried to dance too close all evening. Wanted to dance the fast songs as well, and stepped on my toes repeatedly. Then when he took me home he actually tried to make a move at the door step. Remember I had a broken jaw, and we were friends only! I moved my head and asked him what he was doing. Instead of answering he turned ran and jumped in his car and sped away. Leaving me mad and confused on the door step. It took him 3 months to talk to me again, and gave my pictures to a friend. Poor guy.

This was fun, and makes me so happy I am not in the dating world!

I tag Heidi, Teea, Amanda, Rachel, Jenn, Jaime, and Brittney B. Mainly because I love bad date stories

can't wait for the stories girls!

First Haircut, Walking, and Happy Birthday Dad!

Sunday was a fun day at our house. Jett finally got rid of the baby mullet. With his first official haircut. I have held off for so long, because once they have a haircut they look so much older. I have just loved that he looks like a baby, and want him to as long as possible.
Before, business in the front, party in the back!

He didn't like the clippers to much. I think they scared him. :(

After, with his sucker we used to distract him. What a big boy, he looks older already.

Jett also decided that he would start really walking on Sunday. He has been taking steps for awhile, but finally decided to take off. He was so proud of himself, he kept stopping to clap for himself. I will post video later, but here are a few walking pics.

My Dad's birthday was Nov. 7th. Happy Birthday dad. we went to dinner and had a nice little party. Thanks for all you do Dad. Love you!

Snow, Sleepy baby, and loving being Mom!

We woke this morning to Snow, As many of you probably did. The first thing out of EJ's mouth was Mom I need to play in the snow! I said OK EJ after school. Right after school he was asking again. Reluctantly, I went digging for our tote of winter clothes, he squeeled when I found it and he went out to play in the backyard. That way I could watch him from the warmth of the house. :) He was so cute. He made snow angels, and had a snowball fight with himself for almost an hour. I love that kid he has the best imagination.

Jett has been such a tired boy today, I have found him asleep on the floor twice! Literally he was playing next to me at my feet in his favorite kitchen cupboard, and I looked down and he was asleep on the hard kitchen floor! Poor baby. I wish I could sleep that easily :)

I have found myself being so grateful for being Mom. My kids are at such fun ages right now, and I just want to freeze time some days. I love being a mom. Some days are definately hard, but I love being mom. I love that I am who my kids want when they are hurt, need something, or want to talk. I love that they all want to snuggle and "rocky" with me. I just hope that as they grow our relationship will stay the same. Tonight as we were reading scriptures, and singing songs, I couldn't help but feel how blessed I am to have these three sweet spirits in my home. They definately make me a better person. I only hope I can teach them all I need to. It sure can feel like a daunting task. All in all I love being mom, there is nothing I would rather be doing, and I thank my Father in Heaven for this blessing.

I voted!

Well, I had hoped to do early voting but that didn't happen. I went this morning and had to wait an hour to vote. My ballot is cast, and we nervously await the results. I'm a little scared for this one

Halloween!

We had a busy and fun Halloween. I helped at both of the kids school parties, went and watched Jaylee's school costume parade, we went to the ward trunk or treat, and then visited all of the grandma's and grandpa's living close enough for a visit! We went home with more than enough candy for everyone and some exhausted kids. I always loved getting all dressed up for Halloween. Now, it is so fun to dress the kids. Here are a few pics of the fun evening.

Jett as Donald Duck the tail was my favorite part!

EJ as King Peter from Narnia. He decided he wanted to be King Peter and wouldn't change his mind. It was a difficult costume to find in his size. He does look regal doesn't he?

My little Raggedy Anne. I love this costume. Jaylee picked her pose, she thought she looked most like a doll posed that way. She is such a little dancer.

My cute kiddos together!

Pumpkins & Scarecrow Fest

One of our Halloween Favorites is carving pumpkins for family night. We used to try and do detailed pumpkins, but have learned with the kiddos, the cute jack o lantern is complicated enough!

They always like playing in the "pumpkin guts" as we call it. Even Jay :)

Cute kiddos concentrating hard to map out there face!

Jaylee and EJ tried to make the same face as there pumpkin. he he!

The finished product. They turned out pretty good!

We have had some good times this October. A few weeks ago we took the kids to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving point with the Jones cousins, and our friend the Johns and we all had a blast. They have games, jumping toys, slides, rocket launchers, and all kinds of fun for the kids. We had a great time. It also has been the nicest weather it was beautiful. Last year we were freezing! No coats this year. Here are a few pics of the fun!
